Models in the MSLR Museum at Brockford
These models built to a scale of 13.5mm to 1 foot  (Gauge 3) represent two types of 10 ton GER van. The models were scratch-built and donated to the museum by John Candy in 2008.

On the left is a ventilated van to diagram 15 and below a vacuum-fitted van to diagram 47. Both are finished in Great Eastern liveries applicable to the period before the Great War.

The Middy owns a full-size diagram 15 van which is awaiting restoration, whilst a diagram 72 van (similar in appearance to diagram 47 but 3 inches shorter in length) has already been restored at Brockford and is serviceable.

Both types of van would have been seen on the Middy, the diagram 15 vans were in revenue service until the late 1930s, whilst the diagram 47 vans survived into the 1960s. Both types saw later service in departmental use after withdrawal, including numerous diagram 15 vans which ended their days as grounded bodies, providing stores on platforms and in station yards.
